Jim Rodgers has been painting Bucks County and beyond for over 30 years. Living now in Millersville, PA with his wife Tammy, he continues to explore the area and find inspiration. A plein air painter who prefers to get up early and get going, Jim has enormous energy and drive. Often, he will be in the midst of a project, working on a series of paintings in a certain theme or subject, ie., bridges, gardens, or street corners.
"My fondest memories of painting the county often took place in the spring where everything was awash with the splendid greens and once again in the autumn where the colors were rich and intoxicating. Of course I would be remiss if I didn't share my affection for a winter storm that blanketed Bucks County and produced amazing light effects in the early morning. The best part of painting Bucks County is you're left alone with nature to quietly pursue your artist whim. As an artist there's no greater thrill then to be surrounded by such iconic motif."
